YouTube Is Considering Offline Video Distribution, Services for Rights Holders - WSJ.com

The fact that YouTube is built on Flash suggests Adobe's platform-centric strategy for Flash could make this straightforward. 

YouTube is considering bundling some of its videos and distributing them offline, possibly on television, a YouTube executive said Monday at the Consumer Electronics Show.

"We're looking at the options," said Kevin Donahue, vice president of content for YouTube, "but we're in more of a strategy mode right now."
