WSJ.com - Sony Ad Decision Upgrades a Medium "A $25,000-a-month advertising buy from a Sony unit may seem like chicken feed compared to the millions the consumer-electronics titan spends throughout the print and televised world. But it's not bad considering the medium: a blog. Sony Consumer Electronics e-Solutions Group has signed up to be the exclusive sponsor for the launch of LifeHacker, a blog about personal gadgetry software, Ad Age reports. The blog is being produced by Gawker Media, which already turns out the Gizmodo blog, and Gizmodo, too, will get Sony placements as part of the deal. Ad Age notes that Sony's move elevates blog advertising to the spending range of more established online media."
