"Still, the cover of the new New Yorker does seem like it might be worth it -- it's an AR experience designed by illustrator Christoph Niemann, who also makes some cool apps. It's sponsored by Qualcomm, which also has some AR ads inside the magazine.

That said, there still is some work involved: You'll need to go download a new AR app from Uncovr, which you can find via iTunes or Google Play. And then, of course, you need to sit down and hold your phone or tablet over a print edition of the magazine."
