Google Executive Says Goodbye as Page Says Hello - NYTimes.com

Larry Page will be a bit lonelier as a product planner

Jonathan Rosenberg, Google’s senior vice president for product management, will soon leave the company, Google said Monday.

Mr. Rosenberg told The San Jose Mercury News, which first reported his departure, that the timing was not coincidental, and that Mr. Page needed to be able to build his own executive team.

He plans to spend his time writing a book with Eric E. Schmidt, Google’s former chief executive, on the company’s management culture, according to The Mercury News.
