Could Facebook be a new part of the emergency broadcast system?
Users of the social networking site can now sign up for their state’s Amber alerts — bulletins sent out about child abductions — Facebook said Wednesday. The program is a joint effort between Facebook and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
