The Algorithm Auction | Artsy

Code as art -- check the auction page for some examples, including Brian Kernighan's Hello World (1978) and the OkCupid Compatibility Calculation (2003)

"The Algorithm Auction is the world’s first auction celebrating the art of code. The auction includes rare memorabilia and software licenses related to a range of important and historic code. The Algorithm Auction was created by Ruse Laboratories and all proceeds will benefit the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, which began acquiring code for its permanent collection in 2013. "
