Samsung got at least one headline from its Tizen watch event...

"Just hours before Cook takes the stage at San Francisco’s Moscone Center to deliver his keynote speech, Samsung said it would launch its first smartphone running on Tizen, a homegrown operating system it is developing with Intel.

Why now? Here’s a hint: just a 12-minute stroll from Apple’s shindig in downtown San Francisco, Samsung and its partners will hold its annual Tizen developers conference, in a bid to attract Silicon Valley’s top developers to Samsung’s fledgling operating system."
