According to Bloomberg, IAC chairman Barry Diller, who bought the search engine in 2005 for $1.85 billion to try to take on Google, has “dismissed” the company’s search engineers in New Jersey and China, saying that, “We’ve realized in the last few years you can’t compete head on with Google.”
