WSJ.com - WebMethods Down 34%; Sees 1Q Loss On Weak Software Sales "Shares of WebMethods Inc. (WEBM) fell 33% Friday to a new 52-week low after the company warned of a wide first-quarter loss amid weak software sales.
The Fairfax, Va., maker of integration software said it failed to close several large transactions in the quarter that ended Wednesday. Software license fees will be $13 million to $14 million in the June quarter, down from $21.8 million in the year-ago period and below analysts forecasts of about $26 million.

WebMethods, which sells software used to link different databases and computer systems, has been hard hit by the tech slump. It has reported only one profitable quarter since it went public in 2000."
