Pattern Finder: Autonomy Buys ZANTAZ

My Burton Group colleague Guy Creese on a key content archiving/electronic discovery acquisition.

Autonomy announced this morning that it was buying ZANTAZ, a company that offers SaaS-based archiving and e-Discovery services, for approximately $375 million in cash. Search companies impacted by this move would include Autonomy's arch rival, FAST Search, as well as Recommind, a niche player that has targeted the legal market.
