Webmonkey: commentary: Open Source Reality Check: "For open-source software to keep up, the message constantly heard from the community has to change. No more 'Microsoft, why would you want to use something that slow and unstable?' We need to be able to say, 'Not only does open-source create software that is faster and more stable, it creates development environments that put Microsoft's to shame."

Timely and useful essay. Sad that the author had resort to "I've included commentary from my fictional friend, Outraged Reader, henceforth known as OR. So please, if OR's sentiments match yours, do me, and yourself, a favor and save your e-mail" to reduce the fanatical flaming...
