But the bigger issue, according to Mr. Belfiore, was that Mr. Rubin implied Windows Phone 7 is encumbered by legacy.

“I disagree with that premise,” he said. “If you look at either the hardware devices that our operating systems runs on or the software applications, in both those cases our device driver support and our platform support is completely new. I don’t feel that we suffer from or are slowed down by legacy.”
