Folio – wow, there’s a blast from the past. I have to confess I didn’t know Microsoft owned it…
Rocket Software Inc. has acquired two software business units of Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) — Folio and NXT, the Newton-based software developer announced Wednesday.
Rocket will take over new releases and product support for the two products, both enterprise publishing tools. Microsoft acquired Folio with its $1.2 billion acquisition of Norwegian Internet search-engine technology developer Fast Search and Transfer in 2008. NXT is a product the Redmond, Wash.-based software giant developed in-house.
