See the full article for more on Verizon’s revised strategy
Verizon Wireless famously passed on its chance to become the exclusive U.S. carrier for the iPhone a few years back, allowing AT&T to reap the considerable benefits of letting Apple dictate its terms. According to reports earlier this year, Verizon has been looking for a second bite at that particular apple, reportedly talking with Cupertino about bringing the iPhone or another device over to its network, a possibility that had a large rooting section among those less than happy about AT&T’s service (see “Is an iPhone on Verizon’s horizon?“). Now, however, it looks like Verizon has decided to burn that bridge, or at least make it less likely that Apple will cross over.
So I’m guessing those Verizon-Apple talks weren’t going too well | Good Morning Silicon Valley
