WSJ.com - Sony PSP Gets Lift From the Movies: "Sony Corp.'s efforts to appeal broadly to entertainment enthusiasts with its new PlayStation Portable videogame console are getting a boost from Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., which plans to release movies in a format used by the Sony device.
The plan by Lions Gate, one of the biggest producers and distributors of independent films, is the first show of support from a studio, outside Sony's own movie division, for universal media disc -- a small optical-disc format that plays films and videogames on the PSP, as the Sony device is known."
