John Sculley on Steve Jobs: The Movie, the Man and His Own Role in the Drama - Digits - WSJ

Portray different

"John Sculley, whose portrayal in “Steve Jobs“ presents a mixed portrait at best, has nothing but good things to say about the movie.

The former Apple CEO — who spoke with writer Aaron Sorkin for the screenplay and actor Jeff Daniels, who portrays him — was given a private showing of the film. “I think it’s extraordinary entertainment,” he says. “I think it will be every bit as successful as ‘The Social Network’ was about Mark Zuckerberg.” Sculley says he was “taken” by Daniels’s efforts to understand and portray him, and says the actor “accurately summarized a lot of the things I felt then, and feel now.”"
