WSJ.com - NBC to Acquire iVillage For About $600 Million: "General Electric Co.'s NBC Universal agreed to acquire women's destination site iVillage Inc. for about $600 million, the latest in a string of deals by traditional media companies looking for more online-ad growth.

NBC Universal said it envisions iVillage as the "centerpiece" of its digital strategy and expects to grow its digital revenue to about $200 million in 2006, including iVillage. General Electric owns 80% of NBC Universal, the other 20% of which is owned by Vivendi Universal."
