While many people talk about HTML5 as a potential long-term threat to Apple’s mobile dominance, it turns out that, these days, iOS does the best job of rendering the Web standards.

A study by Spaceport.io found that Apple’s phones and tablets perform up to three times better than Android devices at various benchmarks. Performance on Android devices varied widely, with the Galaxy Nexus far outpacing phones running earlier versions of Google’s operating system.
