Apple Battles Frauds in iTunes - WSJ.com

A challenging few weeks for Apple

ITunes fraud is the latest challenge for Apple, which has been hit with a spate of uncharacteristic stumbles over the past few weeks. The company recently came under the spotlight for antenna-reception issues with its new iPhone 4, as well as an AT&T Inc. security leak of some email addresses of iPad 3G owners.

The App Store also has attracted the attention of regulators, who are holding an informal inquiry into possible anticompetitive practices.
