WSJ.com - Google CEO: User Satisfaction, Ad Quality 2006 Priorities

WSJ.com - Article: Google CEO: User Satisfaction, Ad Quality 2006 Priorities: "Google Inc. Chief Executive Eric Schmidt said Thursday that the Internet giant considers Microsoft Corp. its top competitor and that it will keep Microsoft at bay with quality services for consumers and advertisers.
'We're primarily focused on Microsoft because of their history as a company,' Schmidt said, speaking at the Mountain View, Calif., company's annual meeting with Wall Street analysts. 'We haven't yet seen impact from their search and ad products, but we may see it in the future.'"

I'm just guessing Google's CFO is temporarily in the doghouse, for being realistic and inadvertently talking the company's stock down earlier this week. Meanwhile, back in wonderland:

"Schmidt said the company's other priorities for 2006 were to build new products and services for online publishers, expand its partnerships and build the infrastructure to support a $100 billion company. Schmidt said he would leave it to analysts to decide if $100 billion referred to revenue or market cap."
