I'm having serious déjà vu this week; there was a big IBM/Microsoft/other push (no pun intended) in these domains ~a decade ago...

Yes, didn't Lotus call it knowledge management? I recall it being a pretty big flop.

Yes -- very big deal in 1996/1997. All ancient history now.
