Tres Different Treo Reviews: "e first reviews of Palm's long-awaited Windows-Mobile-5.0-powered Treo 700W cell phone are so polarized, one might think they describe two different gadgets. The New York Times likens the partnership between Treo and Microsoft to the apocalypse being upon us and a 'Frankensteinan mishmash.' PC Magazine, on the other hand, compliments the large number of unique Palm extensions and cites the specs as nearly top-of-the-line. We suspect the truth lies somewhere in the middle, but as the 700W was only formally released today, only time will tell."
I also got some cognitive dissonance from the NYT and WSJ reviews (and their timing -- coinciding with the first day of CES) -- stark contrasts to other reviews.
