WSJ.com - Microsoft Uses Antispam Tool Favoring Some Mass E-Mailers "Microsoft Corp. is adopting an antispam tool that gives favored treatment to certified mass e-mailers, the first major operator of online services to do so.
The software company's MSN and Hotmail units are deploying an approach, developed by IronPort Systems Inc., that is based on establishing lists of certified e-mailers. To get on the list, senders in the program agree to post a financial bond to guarantee their adherence to guidelines about their behavior."
