WSJ.com: Microsoft's Hotmail Makes Gains In European Cellphone Market "Microsoft believes that building a presence in the mobile-phone market is key to the success of its broader strategy of providing software and services to consumers and businesses over the Internet. ... Having failed to persuade most of the leading handset makers to use its software in their phones, Microsoft is now trying to team up with mobile-phone operators to offer its MSN-branded Internet services to wireless subscribers. ...
