Facebook competitors are no doubt hoping he'll start from scratch...

Most experts agreed that recognizing faces would be the easiest part of Mr. Zuckerberg’s project. A security camera could snap photos of people who came to his doorstep and forward the images to Facebook’s extensive face-recognition tools."

"Of course, the Facebook CEO may possess extra-sharp programming skills or proprietary tricks gleaned from his company’s considerable software development experience. Such wild-card factors make it difficult to evaluate just when Mr. Zuckerberg will start running Facebook through his homebrew artificially intelligent software assistant."
