SpaceX engineers are likely "crawling all over that thing" to inspect what sort of damage the Falcon 9 booster experienced from physical stress and corrosion and assessing how quickly it could fly, said David Wireman, co-head of the aerospace practice at consulting firm Alix Partners. Part of the business issue for SpaceX, he said, will be assuring customers that a used rocket is as reliable as a new one.
