"“Native advertising”, or marketing content disguised as editorial content on publishers’ Web sites, has been a hot conversation topic among marketing and media executives lately. But on Sunday night, comedian John Oliver took up the topic on his HBO show “Last Week Tonight,” arguing that “native advertising” is destroying the separation of “church and state” in the media."
