It’ll be interesting to see if any of the players in this context thrive
A new start-up, Unvarnished, opened to private testing this week and was greeted with almost universal negativity and anxiety from tech pundits. The site, which bills itself as an “online resource for building, managing and researching professional reputation,” allows people to anonymously appraise one another, and to respond to those appraisals.
Unvarnished, in effect, creates a public bathroom wall for everyone on the planet — then hands its users a big, anonymous Sharpie pen.
