The Consumer Electronics Show doesn't officially begin until Thursday in Las Vegas, but the show's organizers have already given out their "Innovations" design and engineering awards. These products are among the winners:

The Orb, from Hybra Advance Technology is a ring that doubles as a wireless-phone headset and information display. It vibrates when there's a new message, displays text on a small screen and twists into a Bluetooth headset that fits over the ear. It's $129 for a carbon-fiber version with a black-and-white display, or $175 for a metal one with a color display. Hybra may start taking orders for the Orb at CES.
