The search engine giant signed a 40-year agreement Wednesday to develop a 42-acre campus on the grounds of NASA’s Ames Research Center, which is adjacent to the Googleplex. The new campus will expand Google’s office capacity to 3 million square feet from the existing 2 million, said David Radcliffe, Google’s vice president of real estate and workplace services.

For those who keep score, the annual lease for the 42.2-acre parcel is $3.66 million, or nearly triple the $1.3 million the top Google execs pay each year to land two Boeing 767s and at least two Gulfstream Vs at Moffett Field.
