Red Hat shareholders couldn’t be blamed for asking Oracle Chief Executive Larry Ellison for another hit after Ellison tried to wipe out the scrappy open-source software vendor in October by undercutting what Red Hat charges to support its software. Since then, Red Hat’s shares have soared more than 50%, to $23.10 late Thursday from $15.63.
