Michael Crichton's State Of Fear This is a very timely and important book -- highly recommended. It's not an exceptional novel, in terms of entertainment value, and some parts are both predictable and probably designed to be good screenplay material, but Crichton has once again encouraged his readers to think about key issues in a creative and engaging story. There's a lot of information and more than a little wisdom weaved into the book. Be sure to read the author's message at the end of the book, and to read and ponder the "Why Politicized Science is Dangerous" appendix.
